With immediate effect all grassroots football pre-season friendlies must be played behind closed doors.

After finishing the first week of games since grassroots weree allowed to recommence, the FA has grown worried about the number of people congregating around pitches to watch matches. As a result, yesterday clubs were issued with a notification that with immediate effect only permits players and coaching staff may be present during games.

The new rules are to be implemented immediately, which will include tonight’s game against Marshalls FC.

PLEASE NOTE however that the social club will remain open as usual for those who wish to visit it for a drink.
