Following an appeal hearing, the club has been deducted 3 points and handed a £35 fine for fielding an illegible player in their 4-2 victory over Prescot Cables in August.
The administrative error saw an incorrect name put on the team sheet by one of the coaching staff, mistaking the participating player being an already signed on individual. In fact the other coaching team had meant to sign on the new player prior to kick-off and who would have therefore been eligible to play in the match.
